I went into
the automotive repair business in 1980 as a mechanic. Like
all others breaking into a trade I was ambitious and went to
every school available. After bouncing around a few shops
for six years I decided to opened my own shop. It was quite
an interesting experience going from bank to bank applying
for funds to match the money I already had saved only to be
told no. Then I found a banker willing to make the loan. He
said he wanted to see where this dream was going. Louie the
banker was mostly interested in the business model. “Be
Honest, work hard, do what is right,
and treat others as I
would like to be treated.” Not exactly today's business
mantra.
On June 16, 1986
Mary and David Crosby opened Crosby Automotive Repair .
Things were slow at first but got better as time went on.
First lesson learned was quality work is the greatest
calling card. Lesson two, mean what you say and say what you
mean. Lesson three, always tell the truth when a mistake is
made and fix it before doing anything else. In modern terms
you could call this our company DNA. And this is how my
partner and loving wife Mary and myself have run Crosby
Automotive Repair for 23 years.

Today both of my
daughters, Jessica and Krista run our office and are very
attentive to each client’s needs. I think they are the most
professional Client Service Team around, and not because
they are my children. It is because they care about people.
Jim Kemp and myself perform they work. He and I have a
combined 56 years of experience as well as multiple Master
ASE Certifications. We all work together as one unit to
deliver accurate information about your car so you can make
an educated decision as to how best spend your hard earned
money.
Our state of
the art equipment and continuing education allows us to
accurately pinpoint system faults. I believe in knowing how
systems work at the engineering level so we can get it right
the first time. Are we perfect? Of course not. Do we do as
much as humanly possible to produce a quality experience for
our clients? You bet.
Well that is who we are. We would love to have you as a
